Irisijana with her Style Vendome 2015 colt at Haras Du LogisIrisijana with her Style Vendome 2015 colt at Haras Du LogisIrisijana (2005) is by Diktat out of a Rainbow Quest mare and is part of the German "I" family. She ran over 7f and 8f, won a race in Germany and gained black type when listed placed.

As a broodmare, her first offspring was a Manduro filly called Identity who won a race at Düsseldorf over 11f before retiring herself to the paddocks and being covered by Dawn Approach in 2015 to whom she produced a filly foal in early 2016 who is called Inside Beauty. She has subsequently had a 2017 filly foal by first season sire Dabirsim, who has made a great start to his stallion career, and is called I Promised Myself. This filly won her fourth outing in Italy by a very easy 6 lengths and is shaping up well. The third foal in 2018 is also a filly called Irsia by Isfahan who comes from the Shirley Heights sire line and in 2019 Identity was covered by Outstrip.

Irisijana's second foal is a Zoffany filly named India Jane who was purchased at the Arqana Yearling sales in 2015 to be trained by Henry Spiller in Newmarket. Her third foal is a Style Vendome colt (see left at five weeks old) who was sold from Haras Du Logis in Normandy to Grove Stud in the Arqana Yearling Sales for €45,000. He is qualified for French premiums and re-appeared at the 2017 Arqana Breeze Up sale in May when he did an excellent breeze and sold for €400,000 to Shadwell. He is called Jahaafel and won a race by 5 lengths at Chepstow when trained by William Haggas. Subsequently he moved to the UAE. Irisijana was rested in 2015 and was covered by Olympic Glory then Manduro in 2016 but did not get in foal. In 2017 she went back to Style Vendome given the high quality foal she produced by him in 2015 and has produced another colt who we plan to race in France in 2020. 2018 saw Irisijana visit well bred new stallion Zarak but she failed to get in foal. In 2019 she was covered by Bated Breath and is in foal to him.

Irisijana's dam, Iberi, has had 10 foals of racing age of which 8 have run and won. Her last foal in 2015 Iberian Sundance by Wiener Walzer did not run and is now a broodmare producing a filly by Giuliani (from the Mr Prospector sire line) in 2019. The stars have undoubtedly been 2006 gelding Irian (by Tertullian), who won a Group 2 and was Group 1 placed on multiple occasions, and 2008 colt Ibicenco  (by Shirocco) who won a Group 3 and was Group 1 placed. Irian, rated RPR 119, ran mostly in Hong Kong after being 3rd in the Prix Jean Prat to Lord Shanakill and was twice second in the Hong Kong Cup winning well over £1.5m in his career whilst Ibicenco, rated 112, ended up running in Australia and amassing over £325,000 in winnings.

Besides Irisijana and Identity there are around 10 other broodmares under Iberi and so plenty of opportunity for the near family to grow and be successful. In fact Irisijana's younger sister Inez (Dai Jin x Iberi 2007) has produced an exceptional filly in Spectre by Siyouni who won the Group 3 Prix Imprudence over 7f in 2016 and then finished a close up fifth in the Group 1 Poule D'Essai de Pouliches ahead of English 1000 Guineas third Alice Springs before finishing an excellent third in the Prix Jean Prat as well as a close up fourth in the Jacques Le Marois and second in the Prix Du Moulin all of which are Group 1 races. In 2017 she finished an excellent fourth to Ribchester in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. She has been retired to Newsells Park Stud and produced a Galileo colt in 2019. Now she will visit Dubawi.

In addition to them there are many broodmares on the page especially under Iora, a 1996 Konigsstuhl mare daughter of a half sister to Iberi. She has been prolific and currently has 10 broodmares from her offspring and their progeny one of whom is Iota (by Tiger Hill) who produced the excellent  Ito (by Adlerflug). Ito trounced Prince Gibraltar by four lengths in the 12f Group 1 Pastorius-Grosser Preis Von Bayern in Munich in November 2015 and has subsequently won a Group 2 in Germany in 2016. He is now become a sire himself.

This is a classy German family and Irisijana as a black type performer and half sister to high level Group 1 performers has the physique and ability to take it further.
