Leaves You Baby at Manor House Farm Stud Leaves You Baby at Manor House Farm Stud             Leaves You Baby (2007 by Pivotal out of Sadler's Wells mare Royal Devotion) had a tough start to maternity with a couple of lost foals in her first two years. In her third year she produced a very good looking filly by Showcasing and has had a filly foal by Bated Breath in March 2016. The latter is now called Kokocha and is racing in France under trainer Simone Brogi and won at La Teste De Buch and Clairefontaine in July/Aug 2019. She visited Mukhadram in 2016 and has foaled a bay colt by him in April 2017 who was exported to Australia at the end of 2018. She was not covered in 2017 and is in foal to Tamayuz in 2018.

"Leaves" won two races over 10f and was rated 76 when trained by Mick Halford but in general the close family are sprinter/milers and I believe she will produce offspring in this mold rather than 10/12f.

Her dam, Royal Devotion, won a listed race but has perhaps disappointed as a broodmare with her best progeny being Dark Skies (2011 by Invincible Spirit) who was rated 92 and is now a broodmare as well. Interestingly Dark Skies was covered by Showcasing in 2015 and produced a filly who is very closely related to our 2015 filly out of Leaves who was named Azpeitia and after a curtailed racing career due to injury is now a broodmare in foal to Mayson in 2019. Azpeitia is three parts in blood related to Advertise who won the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup for 3yo sprinters in 2019. Dark Skies went to Lethal Force in 2016 and before visiting Equiano in 2017 and has two colts from those encounters. In 2018 she was covered by Garswood. Royal Devotion has one other daughter broodmare in So Blissful (by Cape Cross) and possibly another by Cape Cross called Cape Devotion (2010) who won four times in Italy.

Royal Devotion has three maybe four of her half sisters in the paddocks plus full sister Nancy Spain who has bred three winners and has a 2016 filly, and colts in 2017 and 2018 by Zoffany to whom she was sent back again in 2018. Luxury (1998 by Storm Cat) and Annie Daly (1999 by Spinning World) have been the most successful broodmares to date on this page. Luxury, who is in Japan, has produced Shonan Mighty (by Manhattan Cafe) who won £2.6m including a Group 2 and Group 1 placed amongst other winners. She has a 2015 colt called Go For The Summit (by Heart's Cry) who won a Group 2 in April 2018, a 2016 colt and 2017 filly Azpeitia learning her trade in Feb 2017Azpeitia learning her trade in Feb 2017 by Orfevre and a 2018 colt by Victoire Pisa. Annie Daly, who I believe is in New Zealand, did not have a huge amount of success until high class 2009 gelding Spinning Dancer came along and he is currently running in Hong Kong having amassed seven wins and HK$4.4m, still racing at the age of 10!. Of the younger half sisters, Classira (by Danehill) in the USA now with a couple of winners and Devoted To You (by Danehill Dancer) with seven progeny by Galileo including smart 101 rated colt Triplicate who is now hurdling. Devoted To You had 2015, 2016, 2017 colts and a 2018 filly by Galileo and, unsurprisingly, visited Galileo again in 2018! The 2016 version is called Sovereign who is rated 118 after winning the Irish Derby in 2019.

A little further back in the pedigree, Royal Devotion is out of Alleged Devotion, a half sister to Oaks and Irish Derby winner Balanchine as well as Red Slippers who in turn is great grand dam of Thunder Snow, Group 1 winner of the 2018 Dubai World Cup. He won the 2016 Group 1 Grand Criterium and the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat as a three year old and reached a rating of 118.

There is more action on the page but these are the key players. The family has high class players in Japan, USA and Europe including a top performer in Thunder Snow and a classic winner in Sovereign. Given the fact that we owned both Azpeitia and Kokocha we decided to sell Leaves You Baby at the Tattersalls December Sales in 2018. Good luck to her new owners Pegasus!
